in the society and they hardly care for anything but establishing their names in the history of Iranian Cinema and maybe with a piece of luck they could register their names as someone who broke the box office\'s record! Besides if this was the case the target audience should be someone who has a good command of knowledge in oder to percieve and analyze the movie and at the end get the message; but this hypothesis contradicts itself! Because if someone knows all about Semiology and in general Literary Criticism Methods( which apply to movies as well ) they are suppossedly already aware of the message this kind of movies tend to convey. That leaves us with ordinary people_ I mean those who cannot decipher layers of meaning, provided that there are any layers!!! So it is very obvious, at least to me, that this hypothesis doesnt work out...
I seriously think we need to be careful about what we pay to watch.

I find virtually all Iranian comedies_they are rather Farce and Burlesque than Comedy_humiliating regarding the \\\\\\\"image of women\\\\\\\" they put finger at. They take advantage of the so_called \\\\\\\"women\\\\\\\'s weaknesses due to thier sentimentality\\\\\\\" to make others, including women, laugh and that is a disgrace. But what change would possibly be done when us women laugh at those humiliating movies too; when us women are not yet able of deciphering what they show us, to find out the mentality or intention(s) behind that. This makes me think that Iranian film makers or to be more specific comedy makers are well aware of \\\\\\\" Reception Aesthetics\\\\\\\", they know women do not know where they stand now_socially speaking_ and consequently they would not take offence, so why not mocking them to provoke laughter and fill up some pockets as well. It could also be that there is a benevolent intention behind all this humiliation_again according to Reception Aesthetics or more specifically speaking according to Constance School of Perception Aesthetics_ is that they want to hold a magnifier to show all these sheer follies so that us women get disillusioned and take a firm stance. This would be quite ideal indeed but I honestly doubt if any such intention is there behind those movies; since directors and scriptwriters of typical Iranian comedies (not to mention other genres) have been brought up under Machismo,
